Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a speech announcing his plans to annex a third of the West Bank if he wins the Israeli election next week. He was hoping Trump would sign off on the land expropriation, but it never came.

It is not often that one hears anything like the truth in today’s Washington, a city where the art of dissimulation has reached new heights among both Democrats and Republicans. Everyone who has not been asleep like Rip Van Winkle for the past twenty years knows that the most powerful foreign lobby operating in the United States is that of the state of Israel.

On Monday, Iran warned Israel of “grave consequences” over its “aggressive actions” amid airstrikes in Syria on targets that Prime Minister Netanyahu referred to as Iranian.

Congressional Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib were refused entry into the apartheid state.
Netanyahu’s action followed Trump’s hostile tweet, saying: “Rep. Omar and Tlaib…hate Israel & all Jewish people” — a bald-faced Big Lie, a longstanding DJT specialty.
He’s “a disgrace” and an embarrassment to the office he holds, not them, as he falsely claimed. 

No matter what Netanyahu's motivation, Trump was quick to use his gesture as a valuable resource. But could you imagine building a home in a town in a contested war zone named for the most hated man on the planet? I travel to some pretty dangerous places... but I'll be taking a hard pass when it comes to Trump Heights. So far, though, it's just a plaque, not a town.
