Yesterday Howie pondered, "Did Boehner Lose Netanyahu His Reelection By Bringing Him To Washington?," and looked at the surprising reports coming out of Israel regarding prospects for the March 17 election. Meanwhile, the reports that Bibi may be in trouble already had our colleague GP pondering too.
Yesterday, The Hill reported that after his congressional campaign rally with Republicans and his war-mongering speech, Israeli politician Benjamin Netanyahu saw his approval rating in the U.S. drop. Gallup showed him dropping 7 points to 38%-- down 7% in the last month-- since the bombastic speech.

– does not occupy foreign territory
– has no nuclear weapons
So Benjamin Netanyahu's campaign rally wasn't the only big event on Capitol Hill yesterday. Early in the morning, Speaker Boehner steeled himself and told his crackpot caucus that-- deal or no deal-- he would allow a vote on a clean Department of Homeland Security spending bill. No blackmail forcing Obama to deport Mexicans; no blackmail forcing Obama to take away healthcare from working families.
