Whether Richard Nixon or George W. Bush, many US Presidents have had poor relations with the mainstream media, but no US President has taken them on publicly, not until Donald Trump.
Whether calling CNN fake news at his pre-inauguration press conference, his Tweets calling out the New York Times and others for publishing false and misleading stories. or White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer holding the media to account time and time again, this is a ground-breaking moment in modern US history.

Attention deficit disorder isn’t usually a welcome presidential attribute, but Mexicans can be thankful that Donald Trump has temporarily shifted his focus away from their country to start fights instead with Iran, the European Union, China, California and the U.S. news media.

I fear that many of us are hating Donald Trump for the wrong reasons.
Multitudes are being swayed by mainstream media-inspired demonization of the new US president, based on selective assumptions and half-truths.
US mainstream media, which rarely deviates from supporting the American government’s conduct, however reckless, is now presenting Trump as if an aberration of otherwise egalitarian, sensible, and peace-loving US policies at home and abroad.
