Or is it the weirder Trump gets, the more Republicans say he was chosen by God. The later makes sense (only to them) as a desperate rationalization on their part. Either way, it's ugly and scary as hell.

They may be wrong, but I did hear that the last episode of the season had Eddie Murphy for the first time in 35 years and was very good and got "great ratings." The only negative comments I heard of supposedly came from republicans and Bill Cosby (Now there's a pairing).
