Infant Liquid Ibuprofen Recalled at Walmart, CVS, Other Retailers
Cold and flu season is upon us, so the medicines-intake will likely be rolling around. But if you’ve recently purchased liquid ibuprofen from Walmart, CVS, or Family Dollar, you should stop using it immediately and return it for a refund. The over-the-counter pain relievers were recalled December 6 because they may contain more ibuprofen than what is listed on the label.

A leading group of pediatricians said in a statement published September 19 that codeine is not safe for children and should not be used to relieve pain or coughs. [1]
The guidance nearly mirrors a January 2016 Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warning that codeine should not be given to children and most teens.

Marketed under the name Nurofen, all products contained 200mg of ibuprofen, whether they were labelled as “standard,” “migraine,” “period pain,” or “back pain.”
