Canadian professor of psychology, Dr. Jordan Peterson, while being interviewed about his defense of free speech, is asked by a TV host: “Why should your right to freedom of speech trump a trans person’s right not to be offended?” He responded: “Because in order to be able to think, you have to risk being offensive. Look at the conversation we’re having right now. You’re certainly willing to risk offending me in the pursuit of truth. Why should you have the right to do that?” The TV host was left with no response.

The University changed its position and said there had been complaints that the young men were drunk on the air. Neither saying ‘tranny’ nor drunk broadcasting is a violation of FCC rules. DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — The Saudi government continues to tolerate hate speech by some clerics against minority groups while public school textbooks in the kingdom still include language that discriminates against other forms of worship, a new study by Human Rights Watch said Tuesday.
The New York-based watchdog says that despite reform efforts and strong condemnation of attacks against Shiite citizens, Saudi officials have not acted to stamp out hate speech by state-affiliated clerics and government agencies.

In the wake of a terrorist attack in London earlier this month, a U.S. congressman wrote a Facebook post in which he called for the slaughter of “radicalized” Muslims. “Hunt them, identify them, and kill them,” declared U.S. Rep. Clay Higgins, a Louisiana Republican. “Kill them all. For the sake of all that is good and righteous. Kill them all.”

The German Bundestag (parliament) has voted to implement a law which would impose a fine of €50million to social media companies who failed to remove so-called “hate speech” and so-called “fake news”.
According to the law, social media companies would have just 24 hours to comply with the German government’s edict before the monumental fine would be issued.
This legislation is not only poorly conceived, almost impossible to enforce and excessive in its punitive stance towards private enterprise, but it is just plain wrong.
