Thanks to the admitted link between Monsanto’s best-selling herbicide known as Roundup and the development of cancer, another major lawsuit could be coming up against the biotech titan. Documents from 1985 have recently been uncovered which show how the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was fully aware of glyphosate’s carcinogenic potential for the last 30 years – yet the organization has done nothing to lessen glyphosate’s use.
More than 1500 endangered plants and animals in the US are under attack by two of the most widely used pesticides known – Atrazine and Glyphosate. It’s no wonder Monsanto asked the WHO for a retraction when a group of their appointed scientists called the main chemical in Roundup, glyphosate, ‘probably carcinogenic.’ The fallout was and is immense. Now, two Swiss supermarket chains are ditching the biotech chemicals due to health concerns.
