(ANTIMEDIA) Panama City Beach — Over the weekend at Panama City Beach in Florida, something extraordinary happened. To save a family from drowning, beachgoers formed an 80-person human chain to bring the helpless people back to shore.

But they don't look like bigots-- Stephanie Murphy and Val DemingsFor the better part of the last decade, we've spent a lot of time exposing the Republican wing of the Democratic Party for what it is-- primarily reactionaries, corporate shills and self-serving corrupt careerists. This would basically include just about all the Blue Dogs and New Dems in Congress-- and then some.

Would you defend a really bad Democratic incumbent against an even worse Republican challenger? How much energy and resources is it worth devoting to? Personally, I wouldn't even vote for Orlando area Blue Dog Stephanie Murphy, let alone defend her or contribute to her campaign. Her "F" grade from ProgressivePunch barely even scratches the surface about how she-- and other reactionaries like her in Congress-- are destroying the Democratic Party brand.

On Tuesday, Pima County Superior Court in Arizona will hear a case involving a fugitive from justice and the request for extradition to Miami-Dade County, in Florida. The fugitive, a former New York attorney, is a 64-year-old woman named Barbara Stone.
Stone was originally arrested for feeding her mother.

Florida Governor Rick Scott signed a bill into law on June 24, 2017 officially making medical marijuana legal for patients with certain debilitating diseases. [1]
Ben Pollara, the executive director of Florida for Care, said:

“This is a good day for sick and suffering Floridians. The signing of this law provides a framework for the future of our state’s medical marijuana system and while it is far from perfect, it will begin providing access to patients.”

In the 21st Century, anyone with a smartphone and an internet connection can work as a Journalist, with the creation of applications that transmit tips to users and then allows the Journalist to transmit and possibly sell their work to mainstream media outlets.

TAMPA — As the fight to stop the Dakota Access pipeline becomes a distant memory for many, similar fights are still taking place throughout much of the United States, albeit with far less press coverage by mainstream and alternative media alike.
