A car dealer said that she will not buy any EVs that are out of warranty and usually expire after 8 years, as battery replacement can cost up to 20,000 euros. EV cars have a limited range and have re-charging issues.

Hertz is dumping 20,000 EV cars that will be replaced by gas-powered cars because EVs are too expensive, the range is short and they take too much time to re-fuel. This decision shows that businesses must put costs above global warming nonsense to survive. Other businesses will follow.

The city of Skellefteå has been buying electric buses, to save the climate, but almost all buses were canceled when they failed due to cold. The vehicles had to be warmed up in a building before operating and their range is drastically shortened because they use energy to heat the cabin.

EVs are not selling because consumers just don’t want them, despite massive subsidies to both the manufacturers and consumers. But capitalism is being blamed.

The Biden administration urged Congress in 2021 to spend $7.5 billion to build tens of thousands of electric vehicle (EV) chargers across the country, but two years later, the program has yet to install a single charger. Biden’s goal is to have half the vehicles sold in the United States to be electric by 2030.

The Advanced Clean Cars II rule, set to take effect Jan. 1, will make the Garden State the 11th state on such a trajectory, joining California, New York, Vermont, Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts, Virginia, Rhode Island, Maryland and Connecticut.

The truth is out, writes Matt Ridley. An official report has admitted for the first time the scale of the cost of reaching Net Zero by 2050 – the same as spending £1 a second for the next 31,000 years.
