Here we go again. There seems to be no end to the escalation of tensions between North Korea and the United States and its allies.
It was only natural that he would released eventually.
On August 9, 2017 DPRK authorities released Canadian pastor, Hyeon Soo Lim, who had been sentenced to life imprisonment on charges of conducting subversive activities. As reported by the Korean Central News Agency, the Supreme Court of the DPRK decided to release the pastor on humanitarian grounds due to his poor health.

There’s something very strange and disturbing about the hype around the White House and US media’s latest obsession with North Korea. It’s not just the usual war-mongering and hot air though. We’ve seen all that before. This goes beyond sabre-rattling. There’s something uncomfortably bipartisan about this new appetite for war.
We recently published an article explaining how, on June 13, 2017, after 17 months of imprisonment, the DPRK released American student Otto-Frederick Warmbier, whom they had sentenced to fifteen years imprisonment, and who had fallen into a coma. Unfortunately, the story ended up having a sad sequel with unpleasant political consequences, for, on June 19, 2017, a few days after returning home, Otto-Frederick died due to severe brain damage.
On May 6, 2017, in the South Korean news, it was once again reported that work on the creation of a new tunnel was seen at the North Korean nuclear test site near the village of Phungue-ri in the Kielzhu-gun region of North Hamgyong Province. As reported by the Internet portal ‘38 North’, satellite imagery shows that there are vehicles located at the entrance to the northern tunnel. There is also noticeable, increased activity in the area of the command center and administrative buildings.
