RT and TASS reported on August 31 that the Aleksandr Zacharchenko, the leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, was killed in an explosion that took place in a cafe in Central Donetsk city. The explosion also injured several other top officials who were with him. RT continues in their report:

A special war crimes tribunal established in the breakaway Lugansk People’s Republic has found guilty and sentenced eight criminal defendants. They are all current or former members of the coup regime which came to power in Kiev in February 2014.

Russia has formally submitted a draft resolution to the United Nations which calls for the deployment of UN peacekeepers to Donbass in order to shield officials from the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) from violence.
Austria which currently chairs the OSCE welcomed the Russian proposals, according to an official cited by TASS.
Hours after a story broke of the kidnapping of Russian journalist Anna Kurbatova in Kiev, news has come in that a crew of photojournalists from Russia-24, the sister outlet of Kurbatova’s outlet Russia’s Channel One, has been targeted with live rounds by forces loyal too the Ukrainian regime.
At a televised opening of a defense exhibition in central Kiev, Poroshenko stated:
We are now starting the armed technical modernization program of the army, we must bring our weapons to the level of the 21st century.
In the winter of 2017, the Ukrainian regime following the lead of neo-Nazi radicals, decided to ban all imports of coal from Donbass, one of the most abundantly coal rich places in the world. To add to the troubles, existing coal burning power stations in Ukraine had been designed specifically with Donbass coal in mind as Donbass coal has certain particles which make it unique to other varieties around the world.

LPR spokesman Andrei Marochko added:
“The Ukrainian side continues to violate the Minsk agreements in respect of the placement of banned weapons. So, in the area of Novotoshkivske settlement, the enemy has placed positions of two mortar batteries, as well as a caponier with an infantry fighting vehicle of the 58th brigade of the Ukrainian forces.”
When one looks at the Western (and in particular the German) interpretation of news from Ukraine and Crimea, the impression is that journalists in modern Germany (and in the West in general) have an even more crooked psyche and conscience than journalists in the Hitler-dominated Nazi Third Reich.
