Something called the Little Free Pantry allows anyone to leave food or other supplies for people in need. Those in need can come by and pick up any item they wish. Anyone can donate and anyone can take an item, creating a giving community and helping bring neighbors together. It hopes to address food insecurities and food deserts that many people in the towns face.
In Pine Bluff, Arkansas, militarized SWAT cops decorated themselves with “Medals of Valor” for killing 107-year-old Monroe Isadore, who reportedly supported his local cops during his enduring decades of living.
Now Pine Bluff Police are defying an order to return their death medals.
Even after the Pine Bluff City Council voted unanimously to rescind them.
An Arkansas cop tasered a man in the back before telling him he was under arrest, causing the man to drop to the ground while yelling out in pain.
When the man’s friends questioned why he would taser him, Blytheville police officer Stephen Sigman said, “cause I said he was under arrest and he kept walking.”
He then looked down at Chardrick Mitchell, who was laying on the ground with taser prongs in his back, and said, “I said you’re under arrest, it’s all on video.”
But his body cam footage shows that Sigman said, “hey, turn around,” as Mitchell was walking away.

Here’s a quick look at just a few of the 33 states that have a Republican governor and a matching state legislature.

Robbie Wilson, Arkansas progressive running for CongressAs we mentioned Tuesday, Arkansas isn't going to be an easy place for Democrats to rebuild. The Democratic Party has lost touch with what it means to be progressive, and they hold only 36 of the 100 seats in the state House and only 14 of 35 seats in the state Senate.
Some districts are just so red, Democrats don't even try anymore. The reddest district in Arkansas, for example, is in the northwest corner of the state, bordering Missouri (not far from Branson) and Oklahoma. The PVI is R+19, and Obama only managed to win 34% in 2008 and 32% in 2012. It's John Boozman's old seat and the district hadn't elected a Democrat since 1967.
