Carl Sciortino-- Fighting For America's Future
If you're a regular DWT reader, you already know that Blue America endorsed Carl Sciortino for Ed Markey's old congressional seat (MA-05).

Yesterday we looked at an astonishing Rachel Maddow exposé on how money-grubbing right-wing operatives are using the "spectre" of ObamaCare to fleece the flock. Go back and look at that and image she was talking about how these scurrilous people are using "Benghazi" instead of "ObamaCare" to line their pockets with the cash of angry, frustrated dummies who spend too much time glued to Fox and Hate Talk Radio propaganda networks.
Buck McKeon, Alan GraysonGrayson (D-FL), a relatively junior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, has led the battle to keep the U.S. out of another pointless war in the Middle East. Although the Establishment is furious at him-- and looking for pay-back-- Orlando, and Americans everywhere, should be very proud of what he has accomplished on our behalf. Buck McKeon (R-CA) is the polar opposite.
October 15 is the date of the special election primary for MA-05, Ed Markey's former House seat. EMILY's List is pushing hard to elect a conservative Democratic woman, as always, this one best known as the chief sponsor of a bill to allow more warrantless domestic spying in Massachusetts.
On Sunday, all Democratic Members of Congress got a 9 x 12 envelope from "President Barack Obama" with the question on the front, "DO YOU STILL HAVE MY BACK?" Pelosi is much beloved by most Democrats in the House. But her "dear colleague" letters on behalf of Obama's resolution to bomb Syria are falling flat. In fact, every time she sends one out-- and Friday was the fifth-- another undecided Democrat switches to NO.
The DCCC has been howling for 3 days about how Staten Island Gambino crime family congressman, Michael "Mikey Suits" Grimm was first for war and then anti-war. "He changed his mind, he changed his mind" has been the constant, annoying refrain, although they haven't said anything about Ami Bera (D-CA) doing exactly the same thing.

A U.S. congressman who has read the Obama administration’s classified version of intelligence on the alleged Syrian poison gas attack says the report is only 12 pages – just three times longer than the sketchy unclassified public version – and is supported by no additional hard evidence.
The transpartisan Beltway elites do not appreciate some populist-oriented smarty pants like Alan Grayson coming into their claustrophobia, tightly shut little club house and shining a spotlight on their incompetence, their very profitable incompetence. The Establishment is fuming at a very independent-minded-- and very loud and very brilliant-- Alan Grayson. Remember when Boehner kicked Justin Amash off his committee for butting in? That was nothing compared to how angry the ruling elites are right now towards Grayson.
As we've mentioned, the first time voters will have a chance to vote on going to war in Syria will be October 15, when Democrats in MA-05 pick between 7 candidates to replace Ed Markey in Congress. The Blue America-endorsed candidate, Carl Sciortino, has been the only one willing to come out against war.
War... but not as much as McCainBoehner, Cantor and House Intelligence Committee chair Mike Rogers (R-MI) are all backing Obama's flimsy excuses to rush to war against Syria but will they and their Beltway Establishment allies-- who have certainly tossed out the so-called Hastert Rule on this one-- be able to swing the majority of Republicans into Obama's corner?
