Richard Ojeda and Sherrod Brown both dropped out before they could make fools of themselves. Does anyone even remember they were once "running?" And Bloomberg and the Starbucks guy? Yesterday, Ed Kilgore, writing for New York Magazine, speculated on who would drop out first.
C'mon, man!Joe Lockhart's name should sound familiar. He was Bill Clinton's version of Sarah Huckabee Sanders for his final two years in the White House. He had also worked as press secretary for failed establishment candidates Walter Mondale and Michael Dukakis and after the Clinton administration ended he worked for John Kerry's campaign. More recently he worked for Facebook and the NFL trying to contain myriad scandals.
Bernie has been driving the narrative on student debt, and along with Elizabeth Warren, forcing the other candidates to take positions they're not entirely comfortable with. Biden, for example, would prefer the whole topic never come up at all. He's an actual Republican-grade villain in the world of student debt.

Although it was certainly predictable, Katie Porter has been distinguishing herself as one of the best of the 2018 freshmen. She joined the progressive caucus, dominates on his committee and avoided the sleazy Wall Street-allied New Dems and Blue Dogs. So... she's exactly what the DCCC wasn't looking for. And they predicted it too-- which is why all their primary heft lined up behind weak centrist and corporate shill Dave Min, an especially bad candidate the DCCC loved but voters didn't.
Friday, an always over-the-top macho braggart, Joe Biden, was still trying to get out from under the smack down he suffered at the hands of Kamala Harris for his racist record. That smack-down cost him between 5 and 10 polling points.
Cluelessly, Schumer is urging former Colorado Senator Frackenlooper to drop his presidential bid-- that's not the cluelsss part-- and run for the Colorado Senate seat instead-- that's the clueless part. That would set up a Democratic Party specialty: a lesser of two evils race that would make Democratic voters sick to their stomachs. Frackenlooper is detested in his own state.
Kamala Harris had a good debate, dramatically playing the race card against Biden. He certainly deserved it. She on the other hand, doesn't necessarily deserve all the acclaim she's getting for how she handled it. But she's getting lots and lots of acclaim-- and a flood of money and great polling numbers. Jamie Dimon is the CEO and chairman of JPMorgan Chase, America’s biggest bank. His net worth is over a billion dollars. Th U.S. Treasury gave JPMorgan $25 billion in taxpayer money to keep the bak afloat in 2008 after Dimon had gambled in speculative mortgages. Many in the Obama administration urged him to appoint Dimon Treasury Secretary but he picked Timothy Geithner instead.
Funny how so many Republicans are weighing in on the Democratic primary— and how they virtually all want Democrats to nominate Status Quo Joe. I can guarantee you that they don’t have the Democratic Party’s or working families’ best interests at heart. The latest was the out-of-work slob who blocked the George Washington Bridge and got away with it, while his imitate subordinates went to prison for carrying out his orders.
