Friday, Washington Post reporter Bob Costa noted that Bernie, now ascendant, is turning his focus on Status Quo Joe, who still leads him nationally, though not in the early state polls.

About 3 weeks ago, independent polling firm SSRS did a survey of Texas voters for CNN. Texas isn’t a blue state but it will be part of Super Tuesday on March 3, so-- like California-- will play an outsized role in determining who the Democratic nominee will be. The horse race question elicited these results:

Every week I’m on the radio with David Feldman and every week I try to explain why Iowa just cannot be accurately polled. The idea of Mayo Pete winning the caucuses is patently absurd, even if the RealClearPolitics polling average-- based on polls that are all over the map and far from showing any kind of consensus-- show him ahead:

Biden was a natural-born Republican. He didn’t switch his party registration until he felt the need to suck up to his boss at the law firm he got a job at. And when he ran for office in Delaware he was, basically, a one-issue politician-- “segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever,” in the words of another “Democrat” in Biden’s day.

Status Quo Joe has a lot of endorsements-- mostly from politicians who are intensely disliked by progressives, from Senators Dianne Feinstein (CA) and Doug Jones (AL) and Governor Andrew Cuomo (NY) to a pack of hated reactionary Blue Dogs and New Dems like Stephen Lynch (MA), Ami Bera (CA), Tony Cardenas (CA), Vicente Gonzalez (TX), Kurt Schrader (OR), Lou Correa (CA), Charlie Crist (FL), Al Lawson (FL) and Filemon Vela (TX). Every one of them has a shitty voting record and every one of them is more like Biden than like a normal FDR Democrat.

According to the corporate media, Bernie is moving up and is now ready to win. That is a warning in their establishment universe and, as Norman Solomon noted in his own warning, Here It Comes: Get Ready for a Stop-Bernie Onslaught Like You've Never Seen.
