2020 presidential election

After Michael Cohen announced people could read the foreward of his new, apparently self-published book, Disloyal, online, the website was so overwhelmed with requests for access that it crashed-- and stayed crashed. On Wednesday, Trump, lying, tried stampeding Congress and bending it to his will by declaring there won't be a pandemic relief package.

There are always contrarians-- people who go against the grain just to... go against the grain. In the early 1930s, a Jew voting for Hitler as Germany's fragile democracy was collapsing-- and there were some-- would likely have been a severe contrarian. Those votes didn't prevent them from being rounded up and exterminated in gas chambers.

Working with a stellar group of top shelf American artists, People for the American Way just launched a new program, "Enough of Trump," based on a simple concept: artists using art to convey what they have had “enough” of in the Trump era and to inspire the public to vote in November. The issues driving artists’ response to Trump include his inflaming of racial tensions, encouraging violent and deadly policing, and his failure to address the COVID-19 pandemic.

I don't trust the voting machines... never did, never will. They're too easily hackable. And I've thought that Trump's hysteria over vote-by-mail was because he had it all down exactly how the election would be stolen via machine tampering.

The Republican wing of the Democratic Party lined up behind Biden early, though it wasn't enough to animate his DOA campaign-- not until Obama stepped in and told the party establishment the enough time had been wasted and that Bernie could win and take away everything they had built for themselves if they don't unite behind Biden. So they did. Was anyone surprised?

Kanye's wife, Kim Kardashian shrugs off his outlandish behavior by reminding everyone that he's bipolar, trying to generate pity for him and sympathy for herself. He's been committed to a mental hospital at least once and, although not officially diagnosed as psychotic, every indication points right at that. And now he wants to help Trump win a second term-- by appealing to low-info fans of his music who might otherwise vote for Biden.

A new YouGov poll of Pennsylvania and Wisconsin registered voters for CBS doesn't offer much hope that the Trump campaign can win in either state and that, in fact, neither can really be seen as a 2020 swing state the way Florida, Arizona, Iowa and even Texas and Georgia a
