Schrader outspent McTeague $442,433 to $30,629 and Schrader beat him 62,046 (72.9%) to 23,107 (27.1%).
Virginia is one of the richest states, but much of that wealth is concentrated in the DC surbubs. The state's median income is $67,620, third highest nationally. The three districts that include parts of Fairfax County have median incomes in the $100,000 range. But in the southern part of the state, incomes dip precipitously.
The Priorities USA Action ad above, is by a pro-Hillary SuperPAC thatch helped raise millions of dollars for "before" she officially became a candidate. The ad, however, scheduled to start running tomorrow in swing states, is a purely anti-Trump ad and could be as helpful to candidate Bernie as it is to candidate Hillary. Good ad. Friday, the DCCC added 14 candidates to its "Red to Blue" program, primarily by moving mediocre candidates from their "Emerging Races" list, although the DCCC has also chosen sides in the crucial Syracuse, New York-area race in which it has previously been unable to pick between Colleen Deacon, a mediocre candidate backed by Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand and Steve Williams, the Steve Israel candidate.
It's not like all of his Republican rivals haven't mentioned over the course of the primary campaign that Trump is a con man. They did. But now, whether tribally or opportunistically, most of them want to force that con man onto the country.
