-by NoahAt this point, any Trump supporter who continues to support Trump is no different than those who cried and chanted that O.J. didn't kill Nicole.Just like some said O.J. was being wrongly accused, Republicans are staunchly and stubbornly behind their man. I'm talking about you FOX "News" and you Republican viewers, voters, and pols. Watching the parade of goofballs on Tucker Carlson's show last night was insane even by FOX “standards” as, one after another, they recited the tweets of the most severely mentally ill president we've ever had to suffer as facts (alt-facts) and power points, and claimed that "this whole Russian thing is a hoax." One clown, whose name I didn't bother to get because, really, does it matter, moaned and whined to the smarmiest, most disingenuous host on the telly that Trump didn't deserve the grief he was getting because he was doing a fabulous job and just look at the brilliant cabinet he's assembled. The generic assclown even pointed out to Mr. Smarmy that Betsy DeVos was a brilliant choice. You could say I watch FOX so you don't have to, but, take it from me, it's no more real than those old Flash Gordon TV serials from the 1950s. Alt Planet Theater. To date, Trump has fired 3 top people who were investigating the Russian Connection to his campaign and business dealings: Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, U.S. Attorney For The Southern District Of New York Preet Bharara, and now, FBI Director James Comey. Each firing had the designed effect of slowing the investigations.Given the reaction to the first two firings, Trump and his immediate advisors had to know that the blowback from firing Director Comey would be even swifter and even more fierce, if only because Comey had a bigger profile and was the third investigator fired. Knowing this, Trump was willing to attempt to absorb the blast of disapproval and negative opinion that we are now witnessing. There can only be one reason for Trump being willing to absorb such a large blast and that is that what knowledge is being covered up or delayed in getting to us by these firings is worse, much, much worse than the current blowback. Trump desperately knows that what is being covered up will deserve and get an even bigger, more damaging negative reaction, if we ever do find out the details of what he and his crew, Michael Flynn, Carter Paige, Paul Manafort, his Republican Party accomplices and accessories after the fact, such as Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan, who claim there is no need for independent investigators or prosecutors, and the rest, have been up to.For Don The Con to be willing to absorb this current firestorm of negative reaction, he obviously knows that the revelation of what is being covered up could even cost him the continued sycophantic support from his Republican Party and lead to his removal from office. In the best world, at some point, even some Republicans might just have the patriotism, the courage, and the human decency to say. "Mr. President, you're on your own" as they head for the cameras to say that they never really believed his lies or liked him all that much anyway.Lastly, at a closed meeting with the Russian ambassador and other Russian officials at the White House early this morning (Wednesday), the only employee of ANY press outlet in the entire world was a photojournalist from TASS, the Russian news agency. Draw your own conclusions, but one thing is for sure, an orange president in an orange prison jumpsuit would make America great again. The Day After Trump
