Senator Rand Paul Had Part of His Lung Removed Due to Complications from the 2017 Attack by His Neighbor

Rand Paul announced that he underwent surgery to have a portion of his lung removed, a lingering result of a 2017 violent assault by his next door neighbor, Rene Boucher, who tackled him from behind. Paul suffered six broken ribs in the attack and contracted pneumonia.
