An Oklahoma cop hailed as a hero last month for saving a woman’s life was arrested Thursday on child sex crime charges.
Blanchard police officer Jordan Jones, 30, was arrested for solicitation of a minor with the use of technology, receipt of child pornography and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act, according to KFOR.
Another Blanchard cop is also under investigation for the same crimes, but has not been named or arrested at this time.
Jones made headlines in November after he had pulled over a car for speeding, only to discover the driver was rushing his wife to the hospital because she had suffered a heart attack.
Jones called paramedics because the hospital was still 20 minutes away, but then started performing CPR on the woman, whose face was blue from not breathing.
The woman ended up surviving the heart attack that claims the lives of 90 percent of victims, according to KFOR.
The incident was recorded on his dash cam in a video that went viral, which is posted below.
But his hero status was short-lived after the Grady County District Attorney’s Office requested Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate alleged sex crimes involving the officer in McClain County.
The state bureau of investigation released the following statement:
“Upon a complaint filed with the OSBI, an investigation was initiated against two Blanchard Police Officers. The Blanchard Police Department cooperated fully with the investigation and cannot make any further statements at this time.”
A judge has sealed the records on this case and his mugshot has not been released.
