Macron's government plans to remove tax breaks to farmers for agricultural diesel that will affect their costs. France imported more than half its chicken in 2022 from Belgium, Poland and Brazil. France lost has 20% (101,000) of its farms between 2010 and 2020, according to a recent survey.
