Nancy Pelosi's Democratic Party, not oursCan we all agree not to vote for anyone trying to buy House seats with their own money? Trump claims to have been spending his own fortune to by the White House-- mostly a lie-- and now he feels entitled to steal whatever isn't nailed down. Many of these congressional self-funders are incredibly like Trump, especially in terms of overwhelming feelings of entitlement. The list below leaves out the poor schnooks who already lost their primaries this year-- like Republican imbecile Kathaleen Wall down in Texas ($6,019,732). Happily several of them will lose their races on Tuesday.
• David Trone (D-MD)- $5,281,939• Paul Kerr (D-CA)- $4,112,728• Gil Cisneros (D-CA)- $3,552,762• Andy Thorburn (D-CA)- $2,785,900• Scott Wallace (D-PA)- $2,522,892• Sara Jacobs (D-CA)- $1,587,831• Greg Gianforte (R-MT)- $1,500,000• George S Flinn Jr. (R-TN)- $1,389,000• Bob Corlew (R-TN)- $1,300,000• John Chrin (R-PA)- $1,162,291• Harley Rouda (D-CA)- $1,130,500
And these are just the ones writing checks to their own campaigns. Others, like Lucas St. Clair, for example, born with a silver spooning his mouth, has his wealthy friends, pouring money into a shady SuperPAC and sleazing up the Maine race with independent expenditures. So far the biggest Independent Expenditures in any district in the country have beem in CA-49 where Establishment characters are trying to stop progressive Democrat Doug Applegate. EMILY's List has laundered $2,248,284 into Sara Jacob's campaign and her stinking rich family has dumped more into that race. Big money has flowed into CA-39 too-- mostly for Cisneros-- $828,434, some of that may have come from the $1,995,440 the DCCC has spent so far in the race (and or the $310,419 Pelosi has secretly spent in CA-49). Last minute money is pouring into the California races in the last few days, undetected, much of it from the worst players in national politics-- like $50,000 in radio ads from a congressional child rapist, who seems to have gotten off the hook, at Pelosi's urging.I've been hearing from so many candidates over the last few days that they are getting discouraged by all this dirty money sloshing around in their districts, much of it directed by Pelosi. A dozen candidates have told me that there's nothing that would make them vote for her to be Speaker again. "Even if she was once a progressive," one candidate likely to win told me, "now she's just an old corrupt POS who should have retired long ago. The Democratic Party needs a real make-over... So does the GOP; but that's their problem."
