The U.S. Military Is About to Have a Weaponized Laser at Its Disposal

(ANTIMEDIA) Top weapons manufacturer and purveyor of global destruction Lockheed Martin announced in a press release last week that it has completed development on a 60 kilowatt laser to be delivered to the United States Army.
In 2015, the company unveiled a 30kw laser with the ability to burn a hole through a truck more than a mile away. Their new laser, however, set a world record with a blast of 58kw.
“We have shown that a powerful directed energy laser is now sufficiently light-weight, low volume and reliable enough to be deployed on tactical vehicles for defensive applications on land, at sea and in the air,” Lockheed’s Robert Afzal told the press.
According to Lockheed, the laser will be most effective in protecting against incoming rockets and disabling drones. The company says it is now preparing to ship the powerful laser to the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command in Huntsville, Alabama.
