Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, invested $600 million to vaccinate 86 million girls in low- and middle-income countries by 2025. Gavi is funded largely the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation that has donated $4.1 billion to date. The United Nations' World Health Organization, UNICEF and the World Bank are also involved.
