Facebook and Zuckerberg are in full damage control after massive document leaks of internal documents exposed its dark underbelly. However, Facebook has better ways than facial recognition to identify people, making facial recognition redundant, inefficient and expensive. Expect additional and similar maneuvers by Facebook in coming months.
