The sprawling Oklahoma district south of Oklahoma City, covering half of the Red River Valley, OK-04, has been represented in Congress by Tom Cole since 2002. His lowest reelection victory was a 68% win. In 2012, the district, which has a PVI of R+19, gave Romney a 67-33% win over Obama, although, the only 4 counties in the whole state voting Democratic in the last gubernatorial race were all in the 4th-- Commanche, Cotton, Jefferson and Stephens.
Eric Draitser of StopImperialism.com appears on Black Agenda Radio to discuss the latest developments in Libya. He examines the current fighting in the South and the political and social context within which it should be understood. Draitser explains how Libya remains a divided and broken nation despite the rhetoric of “democracy” and “freedom” used to sell the war in 2011. Additionally, he raises the possibility of a growing alliance between black Libyan groups and Green Resistance fighters.

Draitser explains that, while the peace talks focus on humanitarian aid, the jihadis and rebels on the ground are attempting to rearm and regroup. He adds that US talk of aid to “the people” is really coded language for providing aid to fighters on the ground.

Unlike her cosmopolitan brothers and sisters who spread Zionism and tribal racism using a liberal and progressive disguise, Melanie Philips is open about it all. The other day she defined what Zionism is in a very clear manner:
A Depression is a period of time when Unpayable Debts are canceled. There are three ways to cancel Unpayable Debts. The first is through a Weimar Republic style Hyperinflation. The second is through a 1930s style wave of farm foreclosures and business and personal bankruptcies. Might I remind you that at least 3 million Americans died from starvation in the last Depression? The Babylonians invented a Third Way to cure a Depression thousands of years ago. It is through a government sponsored rational Debt Cancellation.

The Obama administration seems to have made a decision long ago on how to deal with Egypt’s rocky, post-Mubarak transition; namely to keep it subtle and in the background. Washington intends to remain a player in Egypt’s strategic position, but as far as the domestic stuff goes, Obama is tight-lipped.

Flashback: Internet KILL switch? They target individuals not the collective…
Despite my harsh criticisms of the Obama administration’s policies towards the Asia-Pacific, I’m of the opinion that an actual shooting war between the U.S. and China is very unlikely for the foreseeable future. Like the U.S. and the Soviet Union during the Cold War, real conflict was considered simply too costly to statesmen on both sides.
Unlike in the Ukraine (or Syria)… Where NATO ( USA) sides with the protestors… (ahem)

A few weeks ago In Pinal County, Arizona a man was shot and killed after leading police on a high speed chase and then seemingly resisting arrest. At the time of the shooting the county Sheriff’s office said, “Officers and deputies attempted to use less lethal means to take him into custody including firing several bean bag rounds and Taser deployments. The suspect refused to obey the commands and suddenly reached back into the vehicle. A deputy felt the suspect was reaching for the gun he reportedly had, so he then fired two rounds.”

WASHINGTON: Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel met today with French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian to address shared interests and security challenges both nations face and to reinforce the oldest U.S. alliance.
One of the hard truths about Washington is that Congress recklessly wastes billions of taxpayer dollars on weapons programs that the Pentagon says it doesn’t want or need. Congress does this to avoid the slight uptick in unemployment in their districts that might result from cutting portions of the defense budget.
