This is ostensibly because “real journalists” only work for compliant US media and not disruptive foreign competitors. Around this time of year, there are a few constants. By The_Real_Fly | ZeroHedge | Dec 10, 2016 It’s happening. After careful analysis of all the media punditry and the ‘leaks’ coming out from the CIA, I can only conclude that there is a concerted effort taking place to invalidate the U.S. elections, in an effort to unseat Donald Trump. Last night the Washington Post […]

In exchange for bags of money government officials in India are producing a massive humanitarian and food crisis inside India for the profits of global agri-business.

Santos bypassed taking the renegotiated deal to a popular referendum this time [Xinhua]
Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos collected on Saturday the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize for reaching a peace deal with the FARC-rebels and ending a civil war that spanned across 52 years.
He hailed the award as a “gift from heaven”, dedicating it to all Colombians, particularly the 220,000 killed and eight million displaced by the prolonged war.

Detroit Vote Rigged For Hillary

By Craig Murray | December 11, 2016 I have watched incredulous as the CIA’s blatant lie has grown and grown as a media story – blatant because the CIA has made no attempt whatsoever to substantiate it. There is no Russian involvement in the leaks of emails showing Clinton’s corruption. Yes this rubbish has been […]

This week we conclude our two-part interview with lawyer and university lecturer Adeyinka Makinde on his forthcoming academic paper: "Intelligence Accountability - Can the British State Convict Itself?"
In the first part we discussed Tony Blair's decision to take Britain to war against Iraq in 2003, and considered the prospects for war-crime prosecution under international and domestic law.

With the crushing defeat in Aleppo close, terrorist groups intensify their activities in the Idlib province (governorate). Debacle now appears to be a matter of when, not if. And if is very close. The Russia-supported Syrian forces have scored a big victory to turn the tide of war, but the conflict remains far from over. The rebels still control significant chunks of territory, notably in Idlib. The province represents the largest geographic area currently held by opposition groups, most importantly Jabhat al-Nusra (the new name is Jabhat Fatah al-Sham) and Jund al-Aqsa...

Prolegomenon. Let us begin with an immutable fact of human behavior, specifically contemporary American behavior. Americans simply hate the truth. The troublesome truth, the uncomfortable and (dare I remind you) the inconvenient truth. Truth that bristles and frightens and awakens and piques. Truth that confronts us with the lie of contemporary fable masked as history. History, as Tolstoy reminds us, would be a wonderful thing if only it were true. Truth would be a wonderful thing if only it were pleasant.
In a moment of ironic clarity, Reuters reminds us what the Syrian city of Aleppo looked like before the country was torn asunder by civil war. With literary imagery exuding from every pour of the news service’s pages, ravaged Aleppo is framed as a place where centuries old minarets tower over a vast historic landscape. If a Reuters reader did not know better, he or she might even think author Dominic Evens and editor Larry King sit weeping real tears over an obliterated city.

Last month, the Washington Post gave a glowing front-page boost to an anonymous online blacklist of hundreds of American websites, from marginal conspiracy sites to flagship libertarian and progressive publications. As Max Blumenthal reported for AlterNet, the anonymous website argued that all of them should be investigated by the federal government and potentially prosecuted under the Espionage Act as Russian spies, for wittingly or unwittingly spreading Russian propaganda...

The other day David Ignatius, a columnist at the Washington Post, declared sententiously that «truth is losing». He meant of course «the truth» according to the US government. Maybe because I lived in Amsterdam for 4 years and write about the politics there from time to time, I like to think that DWT readers were familiar with Dutch neo-fascist Geert Wilders even before he noisily aligned with Trump and even before Trump went from being a national joke to being a national tragedy.
Well, with so much of my attention this last while focused in on the situation in Syria and the impending liberation of the city of Aleppo coming as early as this coming week, there has indeed been so much else happening in our sick world that I have missed.... It is time to play some catching up on one of my favourite subjects, the Global Warming aka "Climate Change" hoax.....Up here in central Canada, the temperatures over this last week have absolutely plummeted, with overnight lows at a balmy -25C (-15F for you Americans)....

It’s refreshing to see an intelligent, successful American speaking confidently about how utterly corrupt the western media have become.
Former Trump advisor Carter Page said the unsayable this week, calling out establishment politicians and their media cohorts over their imaginary portrayal of events over the last 3 years regarding the Ukraine and Crimea.
Page is right.
Has Liberty Departed From America?

Can a few Internet sites save your existence as a free person protected by the US Constitution? Not without your help. If 400,000 Americans gave up the cost of a 6-pack of beer, it could mean the preservation of your freedom. If the millions of my readers were willing to give up the small cost of a 6-pack of beer, we could defeat the evil that rules the West.
Are your civil liberties less valuable to you than a 6-pack of beer?

Pruitt and McMorris Rodgers, tasked with destroying America's environmentOf Washington's 10 congressional district, there really are only 2 that are safely red-- WA-04 and WA-05. Both go from the Canadian border to the Oregon border and both are large and largely rural. The 4th, represented by Republican sophomore Dan Newhouse, is the center of the state and includes Grand Coulee, Yakima and the Richland/Kennewick metro.

A few things that caught my eye this past week.
A few weeks ago I had a debate on anarchy with James Scott, a writer whose books I find interesting. Robert Ellickson was moderator cum participant. It has now been webbed.I have read two of Scott's books. One, The Art of Not Being Governed, is about the existence of extensive stateless areas in South-east Asia over a very long period of time.
Recent news stories claim that Russia attempted to influence the U.S. election in favor of Donald Trump. How accurate the claim is I don't know. What seems clear is that the reaction of Americans is that doing that is wrong, cheating, meddling in our affairs. That is why, during the election, the story was popular with Trump's opponents.

The Bible’s book of Galatians, VI teaches, «as you sow, so shall you reap». And for Saudi Arabia, which has overtly and covertly supported rebellions in Libya, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Ethiopia, Philippines, and Lebanon that have led to civil wars and inter-religious strife, the day of reckoning may soon be at hand. The present Saudi king, Salman bin Abdul Aziz, is the last of the sons of the first Saudi king, Abdul Aziz al Saud, who will ever sit on the Saudi throne. After Salman dies, Saudi leadership will pass to a new generation of Saudi royals.
