The obvious and only answer is YES!Yes the US is complicit in the ethnic cleansing going on right now in Syria. I of course wouldn’t limit it to just this one incident. In order to be complicit, choosing to be involved in an illegal or questionable act, especially with others; having complicity, the US needs partner in crime.
Blue Dog Jim Costa voted with the GOP to pay for TPP with cuts to MedicareBig Business/Wall Street-oriented conservatives in California from both parties voted to fast-track the job-killing TPP last week. All of California's Republicans and most of the state's Blue Dogs and New Dems voted badly on the package of bills. So did a couple of normal Democrats-- Sam Farr, Anna Eshoo and Karen Bass. Most California congressmembers voted against the trade deal.

Sputnik | 17.06.2015 Lawmakers in Germany have been told that an EU agreement for a $25 billion state subsidy by the UK to build a nuclear power station is illegal and should be annulled, in another twist in Europe’s nuclear energy farce. RT | June 17, 2015 Israel’s Foreign Ministry has produced a 50-second cartoon mocking foreign reporting on Gaza, urging people to see that “terrorism rules” there. Apart from arguably lacking comedic value, the clip was slammed as being in poor taste by international media. The animated short shows a blond, presumably American reporter in Gaza […]

A decades’ experience shows that “Consensus messaging” doesn’t work. – Dan Kahan
Food allergies already affect more than 15 million Americans while things like gluten sensitivity hits a whopping 18 million individuals. What’s more, the cost for treating children’s food allergies is expected to rise to $25 billion per year. But biotech companies like Monsanto continue to claim they have no culpability.
Why are food allergies on the rise? Well let’s look at some obvious facts:
In a major environmental paper draft leaked a few days ago, Pope Francis brings attention to genetically modified organisms and the pesticides used to grow them, calling them both environmentally and socially ‘significant’ problems.
While he doesn’t call for an outright ban, and even states that they may have been helpful economically in some parts of the world, he also says that farm workers have been marginalized by the production of GM crops.
He states:
Did you know that there are certain parts of the world where individuals have been found to live particularly long lives? These areas are called “blue zones,” and they may contain more than just people that practice active, healthy lifestyles.

Military operations in Ramadi have stalled. Farhan Mohammed, a provincial councilmember, blamed Shi’ite forces for ignoring orders from Anbar’s leadership. He also complained that the Iraqi and U.S. militaries keep sending advisors, causing delays. At least 275 were killed, either recently or in an airstrike two weeks ago in Hawija. Another 27 were wounded.
It's easy to ridicule the basset-hound-hating 170 West End Ave. co-op board, but somebody's got to protect the world from these beasts ("renowned," according to the caption for a different Wikipedia photo, "for their gentle, docile demeanor"), don't they?"The whole thing is just ridiculous because, at the end of the day, it's about dog owners being responsible."-- a resident of 170 West End Ave.

Why bother? It seems so antithetical to the notion of democracy and the direct contribution that voting makes. How many times have you heard that pithy apothegm that suggests that if you don’t vote you can’t complain? I prefer George Carlin’s version of reality, if you vote you can’t complain.

It is now 4 years and 3 months since the March 11th, 2011 disaster that caused the meltdown of at least 3 nuclear reactors at the Fukushima Daicchi nuclear power facility at Fukushima, Japan.... That disaster was a direct result of the criminal state of Israel deploying its insidious Stuxnet virus to the Siemens control systems at the plant which regulated the water flows to the reactors for cooling... The virus caused the systems to malfunction and the reactors received little to no water as a result...

The final episode of book notes on Tragedy and Hope. Aaron finishes up reading from his notes, and gives some added commentary on the book as a whole.
On this installment of Themes and Memes Adam and Aaron review The Brotherhood of the Bell, a made for TV film that is well known in alternative media. This podcast is in the same vain as the previous episode which was a review of Rosemary's Baby. The theme of secret society membership, and more specifically how to break from the cult and expose it, is explored here.
On this installment of Themes and Memes Adam and Aaron review the original 1968 version of Rosemary's Baby by infamous director Roman Polanski. At the least this film points out some very real aspects of cult behavior, but to what extent are the darker occult practices it portrays real?
Topics include: cults, 1960s, sexual revolution, witches coven, occult rituals, sex magic, Aleister Crowley, black magic, dreams, consciousness, confusion, psychology, fragility of human psyche, Roman Polanski, satanism
On this installment of Themes and Memes Adam and Aaron review the movie The Machine. This is yet another film about artificial intelligence development, but is unique in that it portrays transhuman technologies being developed by the military. Do independent productions tell the truth while Hollywood deceives, or is there more to the story than that?
On this installment of Themes and Memes Adam and Aaron review the movie Transcendence. Johnny Depp stars as a Kurzweil-like Ai researcher who is assassinated only to be given second life by uploading his consciousness into a machine. What seems to be an obvious Singularity sales pitch has a bit of a twist.
On this installment of Themes and Memes Adam and Aaron review the movie Her. By far the best movie reviewed on this podcast to date, Her is a film that addresses many complex issues. This film is set in the near future, but is quite obviously a commentary on our current situation, specifically the relationship between humans and their machines.
