Tony Badran takes another crack at justifyingTrump’s subservience to Saudi Arabia. Inevitably, this means telling lots of lies about Iran and Yemen:
Any American high-schooler can tell you that the separation of powers is one of the defining features of American government. But where did this idea originate? This idea did not derive wholly from Enlightenment or modern thinkers. On the contrary, the division of powers was first proposed by Polybius, a Greek thinker of the second century BC.

Democrats and neocons in Washington screaming about Trump’s apparent lack of concern over the Saudi crown prince’s alleged murder of a journalist are themselves silent over the not one, but thousands of civilians killed by US drone strikes. It is not war or savagery that they are opposing. For them, it’s all about politics. More on the hypocrisy in today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:
School choice is misrepresented. According to Mother Jones, Betsy Devos’s push for school choice is grounded in a desire to indoctrinate students into religious conservatism. To many, the only reason to support school choice comes from a religious dogmatism in which parents shun the secular worldview of public school and seek financial aid for alternatives. However, the movement is far more complex than a small cohort of rich evangelicals hoping to advance the Kingdom of God.

I had to change planes in Philly on my way back to L.A. from Berniepalooza Sunday. A psychology of organizations professor from Trump's alma mater sat next to me. I asked her for an analysis of how he governs based on how he ran his business. She talked about malignant narcissism and summed up by explaining that for Trump everything is about Trump. Sounds about right.

“To those three soldiers who got killed in Afghanistan the other day,” said Ian. “They died fightin’ for our freedom.”
“Freedom isn’t free,” Bill solemnly declared as the men raised their glasses and drank.
“That’s bullshit,” Steve mumbled into his glass.
“Aww, come on,” said Bill.
“Alright, see this is why I don’t buy rounds for you pricks no more,” said Ian.

Radical feminists are now being banned by Twitter not because they hate men, which is perfectly OK as far as Twitter is concerned, but because they object to “transwomen.”
What is a “transwoman?” As far as I can understand, a “transwoman” is a male with a penis who declares himself to be a women and demands his right to use women’s toilette facilities anong with the women who are using them.
The feminist, Meghan Murphy, twittered a statement and a question:
“Men are not women.”
I alluded to this fact in a post from a couple of days ago. This is something I’ve wanted to write about for nearly two weeks now, but, haven’t been able to get to. Well today is the day. There have been recent indicators that the US is prepping an escalation in Syria which will spread into the wider region. As intended.

Like many workplaces, the nurses and staff of the neonatal intensive care unit at Mercy Children’s Hospital pool their money to enter the lottery. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn’t. When it does pay off, the winnings are usually small beans. But in October 2018, the staffers at the St. Louis-area hospital raked in $10,000 in the Mega Millions lottery, but they didn’t keep it all for themselves.
When lottery pool organizer Stephanie Brinkman saw that she and her colleagues had won a substantial sum, it was, as you can imagine, a complete shock.
The situation has come to a head primarily as a result of progressive conservatism primed with the power of centralized (governmental) authority.
French President Emmanuel Macron has folded, giving in to the popular unrest sparked by a Napoleonic arrogance where the globalist agenda was pushed to far for middle working class French citizens to stomach.
Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has announced a six-month suspension of the fuel tax hike which was the initial spark for massive unrest across France.
Philippe has stated that the suspension is aimed at stopping the violence and restoring public order.
The British government soon recognized that control of the economy was not enough; the war at home meant control of information itself. At the outbreak of war, they set up the War Propaganda Bureau at Wellington House. The bureau’s initial purpose was to persuade America to enter the war, but that mandate soon expanded to shape and mold public opinion in favour of the war effort and of the government itself...
That’s basic economic reasoning and wasn’t even controversial until recently when, for political reasons, economists like Paul Krugman began contradicting their own earlier writing on the same subject. But as economically sound as the unemployment argument against minimum wages may be, it ignores a previous and much more important one: you don’t own other people.

I sin nya bok Kärlek och vänskap intresserar han sig mer för på vilka olika sätt som vi människor använder ordet. Den romantiska kärleken är en social konstruktion, eller kanske snarare olika sorters konstruktioner, påpekar Brülde.

There is a cause for concern and it’s real and very grave. Ukraine is being pushed to war. Kiev is not bluffing. Encouraged by its American tutors, it’s involved in dangerous games pursuing political purposes.
