Hitchens: ‘Coronavirus Lockdown is Like a National Heart Attack’

As 21WIRE has pointed out many
times previously, Lockdown governments are now faced with the horrific conundrum of not being able to exit their own fatal policy decisions.
Journalist Peter Hitchens tells Talk Radio host Mike Graham that the coronavirus lockdown is not sustainable “for very much longer. People have put up with it … but there is a limit. If the government don’t act there will be a unilateral undermining of the lockdown.”  He maintains that there does not seem to be any government action or radical intervention in the world that has materially altered the numbers of deaths and infections, and that until there is a general debate on whether the government’s policy approach is correct or not on factual grounds, we are “unlikely to get anywhere”.
Hitchens has likened coronavirus to something “like a national heart attack” – where there is a risk of long term economic damage if we let the current situation go on too long. Listen:
