Shadowproof has obtained all emails sent from the University of Virginia’s (UVA) police chief during the “Unite the Right” rally under a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
The emails are dated August 11 and 12, and reveal UVA police chief Michael Gibson’s internal handling of the march that resulted in the death of counterprotester Heather Heyer.
One email shows Gibson declining an offer by nearby George Mason University’s chief of police, Carl Rowan, Jr., to send additional officers for assistance.

The so-called alt-right and the New Right are trying to draw a line between themselves and the white supremacist movement as the establishment media continues to conflate the two. On this episode of The Geopolitical Report, we take a look at the possibility the recent political violence in Charlottesville and elsewhere around the nation is being masterminded by the state in Hegelian Dialectic fashion to undermine and discredit both opponents and supporters of President Trump.

Around 9pm on August 12, a group of white supremacists and neo-Nazis gathered at Nameless field, a large swathe of grass on the University of Virginia campus.
Two-by-two they descended, yelling “blood and soil!” and “you will not replace us!”- the light from their torches and their indignant voices the only thing penetrating the summer night air.
Some minutes later, they faced off with anti-racism demonstrators and so began another decisive chapter in American race relations.
Reactions poured in from all corners of the country; people were emotional and angry.

An Israeli cabinet minister has said relations with US President Donald Trump take priority over condemning neo-Nazis, justifying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s muted response to events in Charlottesville.
Critics have accused Netanyahu of being slow to condemn extremism and anti-Semitism at US far-right protests, having only done so in a single tweet – three days after the rally in the Virginia town that ended in bloodshed.

Not too long ago, white nationalism was a fringe movement of isolated people. Now, it’s gained a very ugly new relevance. Tiki torches are lit, Twitter feeds are flared, and tempers are hot. Along with this misled reinterpretation of supposed “identity politics”, we also live at a time where it’s never been easier or cheaper to get hold of a genetic ancestry test (GAT).

Arriving in downtown Charlottesville about a half-hour before the scheduled noon start time for the Unite the Right rally on Saturday, it was clear that violence was inevitable. I rode past a throng of men with semiautomatic rifles slung across their backs, and a group of left-wing counter-protesters bearing sticks and clubs.

It’s fair to say that what unfolded in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday is the kind of thing that has been expected for some time now. The ongoing inflamation of identity politics and provocation of divide-and-conquer or ‘strategy of tension’ conditioning has been paving the way for incidents like this one; with more probably to come.
