A critic wrote that every single problem in American cities, the crime, the drugs, the homelessness, could all be solved overnight but the radical leftist leaders simply refuse to do it.

San Francisco has deteriorated so badly that employees at a federal government building that bears the name of former Speaker Nancy Pelosi have been advised to work from home to avoid drug addicts and criminals in the open air drug market outside the building.

People with mental health conditions and a history of substance abuse are massively overrepresented among the homeless. Yet homelessness doesn't seem to correlate with those two factors across U.S. states.
