Electric vehicles have "significantly higher CO2 emissions than diesel cars," due to the large amount of energy used in the mining and processing of lithium, cobalt, and manganese, which are critical raw materials for the production of electric car batteries.

New climate models, based on solar activity, show the Earth will experience a cooling effect over a 33-year period beginning in 2021. Restrictions and punishments against carbon emitters imposed by the United Nations and the Democratic Party will be threatened.

The UK car industry is attempting to weaken European efforts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from new cars, Unearthed can reveal.
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) – which represents UK-based manufacturers – responded to a European Commission consultation arguing that it should slow down the rate at which companies are required to reduce CO2 emissions levels and opposing targets for electric cars.
US oil major, Exxon Mobil, also wrote to the Commission stating that promoting the market uptake of electric vehicles is “unimportant”.

Ahead of the COP23 climate negotiations in Bonn, Germany next week, an annual bulletin released on Monday revealed that last year, the average global concentration of carbon dioxide surged at a record-breaking pace to the highest level in approximately 3 million years, renewing scientists’ concerns that more action is needed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
