(ANTIMEDIA) “Real Time” host and comedian Bill Maher and former Breitbart senior editor Milo Yiannopoulos have more in common than an apparent love for Islamophobic rants.
I was skipping around the HBO channels the other night, looking for something to watch before going to sleep. Bill Maher popped up on the screen-- with neo-Nazi publicity hound Milo Yiannopoulos and I quickly moved on to Alien vs. Predator. Until the last few weeks not many Americans knew who Milo Yiannopoulos was. Essentially a social media troll, he tries, tries, tries to be outrageous enough to get famous.
From discussing transgender bathroom rights, to confused homosexuality and free speech…Milo Yiannopoulos certainly ruffled the feathers of ex-daily show comedian Larry Wilmore and former US spook Malcolm Nance.
I want to go back to today's early morning post-- the one about coming to grips with an unpleasant truth, namely that the candidate of the status quo is, in the current presidential race, significantly less horrible than the candidate who has embraced some kind of change. Trump is trying to pass himself off as an agent of change, wholesale. New Yorkers aren't buying it; New Yorkers know a con man when they see one.
