We’re told two British citizens, a man and woman in their 40s, have been hospitalized for apparent exposure to poison in the town of Amesbury, England – just north of Salisbury, where Sergei and Yulia Skripal suffered a near fatal illness back in March.
The scene of this latest event was also close to Porton Down, best known as the UK’s secret research facility, the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).

Porton Down is the site of the Pentagon’s $70 Million Chemical & Biological Program previously reported by Dilyana Gaytandzhieva at 21WIRE.
Despite the UK government’s insistence of blaming Russia for these incidents, questions remain about the covert activities at the facility and what threats they pose to the surrounding community:

In this Reuters report, released earlier today, the British Home Secretary continues the ‘Novichok’ Russia blame game:
“The eyes of the world are currently on Russia, not least because of the World Cup,” British Home Secretary Sajid Javid said. “It is now time that the Russian state comes forward and explains what has gone on.”
“It is completely unacceptable for our people to be either deliberate or accidental targets, or for our streets, our parks and towns to be dumping grounds for poison,” he told parliament.
