The 86-year-old American of Hungarian origin, George Soros is now occupying 46th position in a pretty exclusive club of the richest people in the world. Back in 1990s, Soros didn’t hesitate to bankrupt the Bank of England. But even this step is hardly the biggest achievement of this man’s life who is often described as an imperialist puppeteer.
As early as 1979, Soros decided to pursue a broad diversification of his massive financial portfolio by investing huge sums in all sorts of media platforms and NGOs (nongovernmental organizations). His fund, the so-called International Renaissance Foundation (IRF), is now allocating money to sponsor over a 100 funds and think tanks all over the globe.
While realizing the absence of any preconditions for acquiring the title “master and commander of the world” or, in the very least, occupying the position of the US president, Soros has been mastering the tools of applying covert influence. At one point, experts say, he has decided to manifest the power he acquired by showing his ability to topple any government he would deem unworthy of his support. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Soros has been taking a lot of pride in displaying the role he played in staging of a number of “color revolutions”, including the “Green Revolution” in Iran in 2009, the “Orange Revolution” in Ukraine and many others.
Earlier, The Washington Times would claim that the billionaire has been allocating 33 million dollars a year to fund groups involved in the fomenting of racial unrest in Ferguson to undermine the socio-political situation in the country and to bring to power those politicians that would suit his interests.
In turn, the Wall Street Journal announced that the billionaire hedge-fund manager lost nearly 1 billion dollars as a result of the stock-market rally spurred by Donald Trump’s surprise presidential election.
At the end of November, Live Trading News announced that the people behind the “Purple Revolution” movement in the United States were seeking ways to make the Trump Administration a short one through Soros-style street protests and political disruption which could be observed in most major cities all across the nation.
In the course of the presidential race in the US, WikiLeaks effectively uncovered the fact that the so-called corporate media had been trying to directly assist George Soros’ champion – Hillary Clinton. CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, Washington Post, NPR News have been pushing propaganda for months in a bid to undermine Trump’s chances of becoming president. The same can be said about Arianna Huffington who has been receiving massive loans from George Soros to keep her creation – the Huffington Post afloat.
On November 19, CBS News aired a report alleging that after Trump’s presidential victory there’s been over seven hundred cases of intimidation or harassment of hate. Against the backdrop of massive demonstrations that took place in November in a number of US cities against Donald Trump, there’s been an ever increasing number of reports claiming that those who organized them received funding from George Soros.
As it’s been noted by Politico, George Soros and other wealthy liberals who spent tens of millions of dollars trying to elect Hillary Clinton have held a three-day closed door meeting in Washington to retool the big-money left to fight back against Donald Trump. The conference, which kicked-off at Washington’s pricey Mandarin Oriental hotel, was sponsored by the influential Democracy Alliance donor club, and allegedly included appearances by leaders of most leading unions and liberal groups.
The meeting was the first major gathering of the institutional left since Trump’s shocking victory over Hillary Clinton, and, if the agenda is any indication, liberals were planning full-on trench warfare against Trump from day one. Some sessions dealt with gearing up for 2017 and 2018 elections, while others focused on thwarting President-elect Trump’s 100-day plan, an agenda referred to as “a terrifying assault on President Obama’s achievements — and our progressive vision for an equitable and just nation.”
According to media reports, along with other financiers, Soros has recently founded the “super PAC” (Political Action Committee), known as “Immigrant Voters Win”. The organization has been particularly active in the states with growing Hispanic populations, such as Florida, Nevada and Colorado, where it is fueling hostile sentiments against Republican candidate Donald Trump. The backing of the committee is estimated to reach 15 million dollars, of which Soros provides one-third himself.
