Meeting with the U.S. Senate Advisors’ Delegation
Today, Deputy Minister of Defence of Georgia has hosted the United States Senate Advisors’ Delegation. At the meeting with the Senate Military Committee representatives Mikheil Darchiashvili discussed current defence cooperation between the U.S. and Georgia and the future perspectives aimed at strengthening Georgia’s defence capabilities.
One of the main topics of discussion was Georgia’s integration into the North-Atlantic Alliance and upcoming Wales summit of NATO. Mikheil Darchiashvili informed staffers of the implemented and current defence reforms. Georgian troops’ contribution to the international stability and security mission led under the auspices of NATO and EU was also highlighted by the attendees.
