Even though he still isn't dead, Chuck Todd and his Meet The Press team reported yesterday that 8 weeks of impeachment, with one bombshell revelation after another, has taken a toll on Trump. He's tweeting more than usual and crazier and more inflammatorily than usual and he's lying more than usual.

Finally, Republicans are started to break. Yesterday, Digby pointed out that younger Republicans are finally starting to jump off that sinking ship. Florida GOP Congressman Francis Rooney said he's open voting for impeachment-- the first one to say anything like that, as when their are still a handful of Blue Dogs who haven't!

One of Trump's most ardent-- and despised-- Republican antagonists is George Conway. Yesterday he penned a piece for The Atlantic, Unfit For Office, to be read with Bob Dylan's classic "Subterranean Homesick Blues" playing in the background. In short, Kellyanne's husband's message is the same message he's been tweeting for over 2 years, namely that Señor Trumpanzee's narcissism makes it impossible for him to carry out the duties of the presidency in the way the Constitution requires.

Beltway crackpot and chip off the Dick-and-Lynn-Cheney block, Liz Cheney, was on Meet The Press yesterday to assure Trump that she's a better friend of his than her antagonist Rand Paul.

by NoahYeah, tonight's meme is just a fantasy and it's a damn good fantasy but Trump in a straitjacket in a padded cell is how it would be in a sane world. It's a fantasy that demands implementation if we are to survive. It's a fantasy that's become more and more urgently appropriate as the weeks and weeks of tedium and horror have piled up on us.

According to the Trump Labor Depratment, here was bad economic news on Friday. 150,000 new jobs were expected. Instead "private payrolls rose just 96,000, a three-month low, after a downwardly revised 131,000 advance the prior month." Most economists blame Trump's senseless and disastrous trade wars and his tax cuts to the top 1%. But Trump blamed... the news media.
