Three South Carolina Prison Guards Charged With Attempted Murder for Stabbing Handcuffed Inmate

A male inmate was handcuffed in his cell when three guards stabbed the inmate multiple times. The stabbing occurred at Kirkland Correctional Institution in Columbia, South Carolina.
Jarrell Boyan, 26, Pernell Fogle, 24, and Jaquan Smith, 24, have now been arrested for attempted murder and misconduct in office. And they have all been fired from the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
The charges against the three officers were announced on December 1st just one day after they were fired.

WITNESSES: North Carolina Protester Killed by Cop, not Protester, Contradicting Police Narrative

Charlotte riot police shot and killed a man protesting against the cop shooting death of Keith Lamont Scott Wednesday night, contradicting the police narrative that he was killed by another protester, according to multiple witnesses.
The victim’s name was Justin Carr. Police have yet to say whether he was killed by a live bullet, rubber bullet or tear gas canister.

Alabama Cop Arrested, Forced Man To Perform Oral Sex At Gunpoint Says Complaint

An Alabama cop is accused of holding a gun to a man’s head and forcing him to perform oral sex on him during a traffic stop.
The felony sex crime arrest report was released last week, as the 27-year-old officer traded his badge for an orange jump suit.
Investigators said Montgomery cop Deonte Lashawn Hamner was on-duty when he pulled the victim over, then pulled his department issued firearm on the victim and forced him to perform oral sex at gunpoint.

Louisiana Department Of Education Sues Man Just For Requesting Public Records

Louisiana’s top educator filed an unusual lawsuit against a citizen, for requesting public records sufficient to give oversight to one of the largest government agencies in his state.

He’s requesting the records he needs to review the statewide Louisiana Department of Education for compliance and performance.

Florida Cop Who Knocked Phone from Disabled Veteran’s Hands Acquitted on Battery

A Florida cop who became internet famous in a viral video showing him slapping a camera out of the hands of a disabled veteran who had parked in a handicapped spot was acquitted of battery Wednesday.
But Riviera Beach Police Sergeant Garry Wilson was convicted of criminal mischief for the incident that left the veteran’s phone with a cracked screen. He was sentenced to six months probation.
The incident occurred on August 9 after Isiah James had parked his car in a handicap stop and went into Walgreens to make a purchase.

Zika Virus is ‘Scarier than the CDC Initially Thought’

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) said this week that the Zika virus is “scarier than we initially thought.” The agency made a connection between Zika and microcephaly, a horrible birth defect that causes babies to be born with small heads and brains, in pregnant women. It also suspected that Zika causes Guillain-Barré, a nervous system disorder that can temporarily paralyze people and cause permanent brain damage.
