The National Frozen Food Corporation has issued a voluntary recall of some of its frozen peas and mixed vegetables due to a possible listeria contamination. Included in the recall are any frozen peas and mixed vegetables packaged between September 2 and June 2 which have the brand name First Street, Bountiful Harvest, Great Value, Market Pantry, and Live Smart. Green Cuisine is also recalling their pesto salad with arugula due to possible listeria contamination.

Taiwan Recalls Quaker Oats After Finding Traces Of Glyphosate

Taiwan has recalled Quaker Oats after a random inspection by the country’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) detected glyphosate in amounts exceeding the nation’s legal limits in 10 out of 36 products.
It has been a rough month for Quaker Oats. The company has been under intense public scrutiny since trace amounts of glyphosate, the toxic ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup, was detected in its products. A class action was filed in early May over the discovery by consumers who allege Quaker Oats’ “100% natural” label constitutes false advertising.

Some Cases of Corona Extra Beer Recalled Due to Glass Particles

Select bottles of the beer have been recalled after it was discovered that some of them may contain small glass particles.
Corona’s parent company, Constellation Brands, issued a voluntary recall of select 12-packs and 18-packs on Thursday. No injuries have been reported, and the company says the recall only affects about 1 in every 5,000 bottles of beer.

Organic Applesauce Pouches Voluntarily Recalled over “Potential Adulteration”

Some packages of a popular brand of organic applesauce have been recalled due to concerns over potential product adulteration.
Materne North America Corp. (MNA) voluntarily pulled its GoGo SqueeZ applesauce pouches after food product residue was found in product pumps during an inspection of its factories by the Michigan State Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD). No illnesses have been reported.

Whole Foods Pulls Some Blue Cheese Products Over Listeria Fears

A Newton, Iowa, dairy has temporarily closed after a massive recall of its products due to the presence of listeria.
On Tuesday, Whole Foods announced that it was recalling Maytag Raw Milk Blue Cheese produced at Maytag Dairy Farm because, it said, it could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, though no illnesses had been reported.
