WASHINGTON — Barely two months have passed since Donald Trump’s inauguration, and the new administration has been plagued by a series of scandals and controversies directly related to a flood of unauthorized leaks to the press.
(RPI) President Trump has selected Gen. H.R. McMaster to be his National Security Advisor, replacing the short-lived Gen. Michael Flynn. Those breathing a sigh of relief that the rumored favorite John Bolton didn’t get the nod may want to hold that thought — and their breath.

National security adviser Michael Flynn resigned late Monday. This was following revelations that he discussed U.S. sanctions against Russia with that country’s ambassador in the days surrounding their imposition.
Importantly this was weeks before Donald Trump was inaugurated, which may have been in breach of American law. When asked about the conversations Flynn claimed sanctions were not discussed. Later a transcript of the conversation revealed otherwise.
