While everyone is bemoaning the US Administration raising tariffs on the ‘usual suspects’ and placing new tariffs on new players, like India, nobody’s talking about the situation’s upside or the upside’s potential to grow over time.

El Chapo was found guilty of trafficking tons of cocaine, heroin, marijuana and synthetic fentanyl into the US for nearly three decades as the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. The three-month trial detailed grisly killings, a bizarre escape and drugs hidden in jalapeno cans.

President Trump introduced the Safe Third-Country rule that requires migrants traveling to the US through another country to apply for asylum in that country first before being eligible for asylum in the US. Mexico and Guatemala are pushing back against this rule.

Democrat Representative Veronica Escobar was reported to have sent staff to Mexico to coach as many as 6,000 asylum-seekers on how to exploit loopholes so that they may return to the US while their claim is processed.

Booker brought them back into the US after they were sent back to Mexico under the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) whereby illegal aliens seeking admission to the US from Mexico are returned to Mexico to wait for their immigration proceedings. Many Americans are questioning whom Booker represents.

The Mexican government is enticing Guatemalans and others from Central American countries to leave their homes by offering benefits to them, like work permits and visas, while they migrate north toward the United States.
