Courtesy of USC's Center for the Study of Immigrant Integration, we've looked at the Numbers of DACA recipients in each district where we have an endorsee and where we have a candidate far along in the vetting process. We also noted the annual GDP loss in each district that would result in the deportation of the DACA workers. This is a very big issue in Texas, as you might guess from looking at the stats.

Over the weekend we ran an analysis-- How High theWave? How High theWave? How Many Republicans Will Drown In It? that predicts the GOP will lose 1,000 state legislative seats by the first Wednesday of November 2016.

I'm sure you remember that Trump repeatedly promised during the campaign that he would get Mexico to pay for his ridiculous wall. Obviously, Mexico laughed in his face. So now the Republicans are ginning up a way of taxing Americans to pay for the (totally not) Great Wall of Trump.

2 TexansCBS couldn't contain its excitement about snairing American neo-Nazi plotter Stephen Bannon for 60 Minutes. Reports by people who have watched the show, which airs Sunday, say Bannon explains that Trump's neo-Nazi base-- including himself-- are pissed off about Trump's somewhat confused stand on DACA.

There's going to be violence in New York today when DREAMers and their allies in New York stage an aggressive protest at Trump Tower and the police try to stop them. Tragic! There were some GOP congressmen who are demanding that Paul Ryan, as Speaker, stop playing politics with this issue and allow a vote to enshrine DACA in law. But that's exactly what other Republicans fear.

The last time we looked at Ted Lieu's infrastructure legislation there were 33 co-sponsors. That was back at the end of May when he introduced it-- HCR 63-- "Supporting efforts to enact a bold jobs and infrastructure package that benefits all Americans, not just billionaires." Now there are 85 co-sponsors-- including, not just the progressives who backed Lieu's plan originally, but even some of the most reactionary Democrats in Congress.

For me, one of the worst-- and longest lasting-- side effects from chemotherapy is peripheral neuropathy. I'll spare you the details but it's gotten worse, and continues to get worse, with time. Yesterday, my doctor told me that there are ongoing studies that show an anti-convulsive compound, lacosamide, which is used to treat epilepsy and seizures, has been effective for some people in treating peripheral neuropathy.

The DCCC hasn't seriously contested the Houston area congressional district since 1966 when George H.W. Bush beat ultra-conservative Harris County District Attorney Frank Briscoe (D) to become the first-ever Republican to represent Houston. Back in those days, TX-07 included all of Harris County; now it's just 17% of the county and is basically known as the west Houston district.

The lowest point in my 2 years of cancer treatment led to the highest point. I was zonked on chemo at this point but still managing to stay at home. I was a mess. One night I couldn't make it all the way up the stairs to my bedroom, was too tired to get back down the stairs, and slept on a landing 6 steps up.
