ASSAD: After 10 years, Syria will be safe, and I will be the man who saved his country.

Damascus, SANA – President Bashar Assad asserted that the cessation of military operations requires preventing the terrorists from using it to improve their position, as well as preventing other countries, especially Turkey, from sending more recruits, more terrorists, more armaments, or any kind of logistical support to terrorists, adding that the Russian and the Iranian support were essential for the Syrian Army to make its advancement.

SAA Blitzkrieg Recaptures Mahin from ISIS

American Who Was Afraid of Gay Marriage Caught Before Allegedly Flying to Join Al Qaeda

A California 22-year-old who was too afraid to join ISIS was apprehended at the airport, allegedly on his way to join al Qaeda affiliate al Nusra.
The latest alleged American recruit for al Nusra was desperate to leave the country because the Supreme Court passed gay marriage.
In a complaint unsealed last week, authorities say a 22-year-old Bay Area man planned a trip overseas to join al Qaeda’s Syrian branch. Adam Shafi, of Fremont, is accused of purchasing tickets to Istanbul from San Francisco after he chickened out of joining ISIS last year.

IRAQ: US “Friendly Fire” Kills 9 Soldiers

 
An airstrike by the US-led coalition aimed at Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq has killed nine Iraqi soldiers, according to Iraq’s Defence Minister.
The “friendly fire” incident happened as Iraqi troops were fighting the extremists just outside the IS stronghold of Fallujah on Friday.
The US military had said the incident may have killed “up to 10 soldiers”, adding that the strikes were in response to requests and information provided by Iraqi security forces on the ground near the city.
