My name is Bob Lynch. I am a white guy from Irish immigrant descent who is running in a 90% Hispanic district. The Florida Democratic Party classifies districts like mine as "Minority Access" Districts. This means that the demographics of the district is a minority majority. None of the party leaders had a problem with me running because I am a relatively affluent straight White man.

They will likely be an Anti-Trump bulwark in all three states, but could provide the Democrats with a much bigger share of the votes, if the Democratic Party were to magically come alive and start acting something like a political party.

Whether you call what happened in 2018 a blue wave-- in which case you'd be wrong-- or an anti-red /anti-Trump wave-- in which case you'd be correct-- Heitkamp lost her seat while dozens of other Democrats were winning. Kevin Cramer beat her 179,720 (55.1%) to 144,376 (44.3%), although she outspent him massively.
