Burning fossil fuels is a major cause of greenhouse gas emissions (GGE), and, greenhouse gas emissions (water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O)) are the principle cause of man-made climate change. Given this fact, governments throughout the world should be moving away from fossil fuels and investing in, and designing policies that encourage development of, renewable sources of energy.

That’s the message from the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), which has come out from under the shadows of Paris 2015 swinging like a heavyweight champion boxer, and, in fact, they’ve taken the gloves off in preparation for bare-knuckled fisticuffs.
In stark contradiction to a frequent refrain of the Republican Party in the United States, the European Union reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 23 percent and grew its economy by 53 percent in the last quarter century.
The European Commission revealed its figures at the start of the United Nations Climate Conference in Bonn, Germany, on Tuesday.
