When the trial date was postponed, no one extended the date of the protective order so, Rodriguez was exposed well in advance of the trial. Law enforcement has placed the blame for Rodriguez’s murder squarely at the feet of Democratic lawmakers who passed the new law.

After the attacks, the Sergeant’s Benevolent Association (SBA) declared “war” on Mayor Bill DeBlasio for bad policies that embolden criminals. Additional comments accused public officials of creating an anti-cop tone that has contributed to violence against police.

Shootings are up almost 29%, robberies are up 39%, transit crimes are up 30%, and auto thefts are up 72%. Critics of the new bail laws point to many incidents of crimes committed by those who normally would have been imprisoned but were released back onto the streets.

California passed a law, SB 394, that is optional in each county, and allows diversion for lawbreakers, instead of jail, for primary caregivers of minor children under certain circumstances. According to prosecutors, the only "diversion" that's going to happen now is that new crimes will get diverted onto more people.

The baby died on December 3, 2019 after ingesting methamphetamine that Ojeda left out.  Ojeda was charged with 2nd degree manslaughter and assault.

NY Mayor Bill de Blasio authorized gifts for Rikers Island departing inmates, including $25 debit cards, Mets tickets, free transit passes, movie tickets, and various gift cards. As many as 15,000 inmates are expected to rake in the prizes.

Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields has instituted a new no-chase policy. Her policy is to releases criminals instead of locking them up. Shields acknowledged that her decision will drive up crime.

Emptying the prisons is being done in the name of 'racial justice'. However, the increase in murders is mostly affecting the black community. Thousands more black lives will be lost before this injustice is turned around.

Suspensions were made illegal in California after supporters claimed that disciplinary action targeted students of color.

Emmanuel Aranda pleaded guilty to attempted homicide and was sentenced to 19 years in prison. Aranda said that he sometimes has anger issues. He has a past record of harassing patrons and causing property damage at the mall.
