Ripoff Alert: No Aloe was Found in These Aloe Vera Gel Products

Over the summer, like a lot of people, I purchase a bottle of aloe vera gel because, despite my best efforts, I always get sunburned when I work in the garden. Now I know where I’ll never be buying it from again: CVS. Don’t bother picking up a bottle at Walmart or Target, either. Taiwan has recalled Quaker Oats after a random inspection by the country’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) detected glyphosate in amounts exceeding the nation’s legal limits in 10 out of 36 products.
It has been a rough month for Quaker Oats. The company has been under intense public scrutiny since trace amounts of glyphosate, the toxic ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup, was detected in its products. A class action was filed in early May over the discovery by consumers who allege Quaker Oats’ “100% natural” label constitutes false advertising.

Rachel Cronin reportedly claims that when she reapplied EOS’ “Summer Fruit” balm, her lips cracked, bled and blistered and were “anything but smooth.”
The egg-shaped lip balms are touted by celebrities such as Britney Spears and Kim Kardashian and come in a variety of colors.
