US-Led Air Strikes Kill Over 250 Iraqi Civilians In One Week

(REPORT) — The US-led coalition fighting the Islamic State may have killed hundreds of civilians in the first week of March in support of Iraqi forces storming western Mosul, according to reports by monitoring group Airwars.

(REPORT) — Continuing a string of regular drone strikes against targets in rural Yemen dating back to last week, US drones today attacked and killed a pair of young boys on a road outside the village of Yakla. There were no indications any combatants were anywhere near the targeted spot.

11 Women Killed In Saudi Airstike On Yemeni Funeral Home

SANAA (REPORT) — The Saudi-led coalition fighting Yemeni dominant Houthi rebels killed at least 11 women in an airstrike on a funeral house north of the capital Sanaa on Wednesday, a medic and security official said.
Ten others, also women, were critically wounded “when the airstrike hit the funeral in Shira area in Arhab district,” the medic added, saying that the death toll is likely to increase.
The targeted funeral house was completely destroyed and scores of adjacent homes were damaged.

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (REPORT) — Afghan officials and local residents said Sunday that 22 civilians, mostly women and children, were killed during a joint operation carried out by U.S. and Afghan forces last week in the southern Helmand province.

SANAA, Yemen (REPORT) — The United Nations’ humanitarian aid official in Yemen says the civilian death toll in the nearly two-year conflict has reached 10,000, with 40,000 others wounded.
