"The moment we want to believe something, we suddenly see all the arguments for it, and become blind to the arguments against it. The moment we want to disbelieve anything we have previously believed, we suddenly discover not only that there is a mass of evidence against it, but that this evidence was staring us in the face all the time" George Bernard Shaw

It is a pattern that recurs in personal lives, in politics, in history – and in storytelling. When we embark on a course of action which is unconsciously driven by wishful thinking, all may seem to go well for a time, in what may be called the “dream stage”.
John Pilger examines the struggle for supremacy among the media monopolies in Australia, where Rupert Murdoch launched his empire. He describes a worldwide system that dominates media in western countries, of which Murdoch is but one part.

The theme for this show is recognizing and accessing the whole world that awaits beyond the obedience, conformity and illogic of government school and the college scam. It begins with a North Carolina student who took a video of his teacher telling him he could be arrested for talking badly about Obama. It's a hit on You Tube.
